Brandon Saliba, Charyl Fava win 5k Distance
The third race of the five-part Hudson Race Series, powered by Nike, was held in Dingli on Sunday. The course, which takes runners through Buskett and its surroundings, is known for its challenging uphill finish and scenic views – features that have become hallmarks of the Series.
Mark Herrera registered his second win in the series, finishing ahead of Steve Pace and Mark Axiaq. While Herrera maintained a clear lead, Pace and Axiaq were separated by just seven seconds in a closely contested finish.

Josann Attard Pulis added another strong performance to her Series record, finishing ahead of Jolene Debattista, who held a steady lead over third-placed Angele Sammut.

In the 5k event, Brandon Saliba crossed the line first, followed by Adrian Cutajar and Heathcliff Farrugia.

In the women’s category, Charyl Fava maintained her unbeaten run, while Abigail Church secured second place ahead of Nadia Mifsud, who finished just three seconds behind her in third place.

Prizes and trophies were presented by Race Director Charlie Demanuele, who expressed his gratitude to the Rabat and Dingli Local Councils, the Rabat Police, and Transport Malta for their support and cooperation in the lead-up to and throughout the race. He also thanked race sponsors Hudson Group for their ongoing support and ProHealth Ltd, agents for La Roche Posay products.
The penultimate race of the Hudson Race Series, powered by Nike, will take place in Burmarrad on Sunday, 7th September. Last few remaining entries are available.
