Aidan Tanti, Rosalie Borg Cauchi claim 5k victories

Mark Herrera and Josanne Attard Pulis reaffirmed their dominance at the Hudson Race Series 10k Burmarrad Edition, held on Sunday morning.

The event, set on Burmarrad’s fast and flat route, once again proved to be a popular draw, attracting athletes of varying levels who sought quick times and competitive racing.

Herrera secured a convincing win in the men’s 10k, crossing the finish line in 33:03. He was followed by Stefan Sultana in 35:37, with Jeremy Curmi taking third place in 37:00.

In the women’s race, Attard Pulis also delivered a commanding performance, completing the distance in 40:50. Donatella Fenech placed second in 48:17, while Anna Haider rounded off the podium in 49:24.

The 5k race proved to be a tighter contest. Aidan Tanti took the win in 15:24, holding off pressure from Clayton Abela (15:44) and Brandon Saliba (16:04).

In the women’s 5k, Rosalie Borg Cauchi claimed the top spot with a good 18:03 run. She was closely followed by Lisa Bezzina, making a welcome return to the Series, with a time of 18:32, while Marija Cumbo secured third place in 18:39.

Prizes and trophies were given out to the winners by Race Director Charlie Demanuele who remarked that “The Hudson Race Series continues to highlight Malta’s vibrant running community, bringing together established names and emerging athletes in a competitive yet welcoming atmosphere.”

The Race organisers thanked Hudson Group for their support as well as St Paul’s Bay Local Council and Transport Malta for their support.

The final race of the 2025 Hudson Race Series powered by Nike, will be the Valletta Edition which take place on the 8th of December.
